The geomorphological and paleogeographical survey was carried out during 2021 field season at all selected prehistoric settlements in the area of the Xanthe Prefecture: Diomideia, Lafrouda, Anavra, Melissa, and in the area of Rodopi Prefecture: Paradimi, Yfantai, Fanari, Papa Ambelia (Krovili), Voidolivado (Nea Santa), and Mylon Mana (Maroneia). In addition, borehole core samples were extracted at the settlements of Diomideia, Paradimi, Fanari, and Yfantai, with vibracore and rotary drilling using single tube core barrels. Borehole cores will be examined in the laboratory of the Department of Physical and Environmental Geography, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
