Geomorphological and Paleogeographical investigations aim at providing information for the reconstruction of palaioenvironment and the geomorphological changes in the past, which would aid in defining the relation of selected settlements with their natural environment. To this end, detail fieldwork for the study of the depositional and erosional landforms of the area and the coast-line will be carried out, along with the accurate topographical measurements. Satellite and aerial imagery, topographical maps, Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), and a TOPCON D-GPS will be used. In addition, borehole drilling will be carried out to obtain stratified samples for radiocarbon dating of the settlements' habitation phases.
