Short CV
Sofia Doani is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physical and Environmental Geography at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a Master of Science in Geography and Environment, School of Geology, AUTH. She did a research internship with expertise in Sedimentological Analysis at Laboratory of Sedimentology, Institute of Geoecology and Geoinformatics, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (Poland). Her research focuses on Geomorphology, Geoarchaeology and Sedimentology (paleoenvironmental reconstruction and geomorphological evolution). Further scientific interests are fluvial processes, Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S), geomorphological mapping and age-depth models using AMS radiocarbon dating. She has participated in various scientific projects, both boreholes and surveys, in regions of northern Greece.
