MAPPING THE EARLY FARMERS IN THRACE

Mapping the Early Farmers in Thrace (MAPFARM) is a three year research program held under the auspices of the Democritus University of Thrace in collaboration with the Ephorate of Antiquities of Rhodope, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Xanthe, the Laboratory of Geophysical-Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeo-environment, Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH), the Department of Physical and Environmental Geography at Aristotle University, and the Laboratory of Archaeometry in the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at NCSR Demokritos.

Dushka Urem-Kotsou is Associate Professor of Prehistoric Archaeology at Department of History and Ethnology, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. Her expertise ranges from pottery to environmental and food archaeology, architecture and settlements in prehistory of the Aegean and Southeastern Europe.
